Delaware County Public Health Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic in Delhi Aug. 12

DELHI – A rabies vaccination clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Delhi Fire Hall, 140 Delview Terrace Ext., Delhi.

Pre-registration is suggested. Delaware County Public Health said dogs and cats may receive their first rabies vaccination at 3 months of age, and pet owners should bring previous vaccination records to confirm whether an animal is eligible for three-year coverage.

Officials said dogs must be leashed and under proper control, while cats and ferrets must be brought in carrying cases. Pet owners are also responsible for cleaning up after their animals at the clinic site, and failure to do so can result in a fine.
