In Memory of John Steitz, founder of Fishing Derby at Summit Lake and Summit Community Center
So sorry to hear about the passing of John Steitz August 9th. I will always remember him for starting and continuing the Fishing Derby at Summit Lake and of course his vision to start and lead Summit Community Center Inc. to build a community center. John was born June 12, 1935 in Yonkers, NY. Photo of John at the June 13, 2026 Fishing Derby.
