June Brings Music, Markets, and Community Spirit to Cobleskill–Richmondville
Summer is in full swing and the season kicks off on Saturday, June 20, with the Drive for Hope Car Show at 106 Suffolk Circle from noon to 4 p.m., supporting Marathon for a Better Life. That same day, the SchoCo Pride Fest brings music, performances, food, and vendors to the Iroquois Museum in Howes Cave from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Every Sunday, the Schoharie County Farmers Market fills the Hall of Agriculture at the Cobleskill Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering produce, baked goods, handmade items, and the friendly summer spirit we all love.
Art takes center stage at the Cobleskill Art in Action Festival and Auction on June 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Park, where more than 40 artists will create and display their work throughout the day.
The Village of Cobleskill Pool opens June 27. Call 518-234-3891 for pool passes, summer camp sign-ups, and information on tennis and swimming lessons.
The Village’s July 4th Celebration—Honoring 250 Years of America—promises a full day of festivities beginning at 10 a.m. The Sparkle and Shine Parade steps off at 4 p.m., followed by a 3:30 p.m. reenactment downtown, live music at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds, and fireworks at dusk. Arts in the Park returns July 9 through August 13, bringing Thursday-evening concerts, local food, and easy summer evenings to Centre Park. And on August 29, the East Worcester Fish and Game Club hosts a Chicken BBQ at the Richmondville Volunteer Emergency Squad to support its new clubhouse.
