Live Music and Memorial Day Suppers Highlight Late May in Andes

ANDES — The town of Andes will feature a variety of musical performances, community meetings, and holiday dining specials as May draws to a close.

The weekend lineup begins Saturday, May 23, when SRO performs live at Dana’s Place. The performance at the 103 Main St. venue is scheduled to run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m..

In observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, the Andes Town Hall will be closed for the day. Local establishments will mark the holiday with evening dining specials, including an "Early Bird Supper" at the Dragonfly Diner from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.. The diner's Monday special features meatloaf with mashed potatoes and vegetables for $14.95. Nearby, Dana’s Place will host its weekly "Spaghetti and Meatball Madness" from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering the dish for $10.

Mid-week activities include a meeting of the Zoning Board on Wednesday, May 27, at 7 p.m.. On Thursday, May 28, Streamside Yoga at 506 Main St. will offer a session of chair yoga from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m..

The month’s festivities conclude Friday, May 29, with karaoke at The Andes Hotel. Hosted by DJ Tito, the event begins at 9 p.m. in the hotel tavern and is free to the public.
