Local Nonprofit Organizations Receive Funding To Support Community Initiatives
Tannersville, NY – Local nonprofit organizations gathered at Bank of Greene County’s Tannersville branch to receive funding from Bank of Greene County Charitable Foundation, supporting projects that strengthen and enrich the local community.
As part of this year’s giving efforts, the Foundation is awarding $534,000 to 532 nonprofit organizations, providing critical support to programs that address a wide range of local needs.
Funded projects in the Tannersville area highlight a strong focus on community access, arts, and outdoor recreation. Highlights include support for free arts and nature-based programming for children, expanded arts programming, and educational workshops that provide opportunities for learning and creative expression.
Additional funding is helping enhance community spaces and services, including upgrades to local monuments, restoration of buildings at the Platte Clove Neighborhood Center, and improvements to local trails through signage and infrastructure. Support also includes food access initiatives, expanded peer support services, and community events including the 2026 Fourth of July parade and celebration. Contributions also strengthen public safety through the purchase of specialized emergency equipment. A full listing of funded organizations can be found on the Bank’s website at www.tbogc.com/about/giving.
