Mountaintop Health and Wellness Forum
A Gathering of Local Resources to Support Your Health and Wellness
WINDHAM — A group of mountaintop residents—calling ourselves Neighbors for Community Health—is hosting a hands-on Community Health and Wellness Forum for our community June 10 from 5–7 PM at the Windham VFW Post 1545, 5565 State Route 23, Windham.
Getting and staying healthy can be challenging, especially when it’s not always clear what services, programs, and supports are available locally. This forum is designed to connect community members directly with a wide range of local health, wellness, and support resources for every stage of life.
Participants will have the opportunity to identify their top concerns, meet one-on-one or in small groups with the appropriate professionals, and leave with practical next steps—not just information. Support can include healthcare system navigation, health insurance guidance, care coordination, access to social services, long-term care options, aging and disability support, independent living services, and mental health resources.
The goal is to help assess needs, identify barriers, and connect individuals with the right support and follow-up services. In many cases, follow-up appointments can be scheduled directly at the forum to help ensure continued assistance and connection.
Participating providers will include healthcare, wellness, and medical professionals, along with organizations offering supportive services such as body-based therapies, veteran services, legal guidance, hospice support, Alzheimer’s resources, meditation, yoga, and more—reflecting the many factors that contribute to overall well-being.
This will not be a panel discussion or lecture series. Instead, participants will rotate through small groups and informal conversations with local providers and organizations. You’ll learn what resources are available in and around Greene County, ask questions, and begin building meaningful local connections.
Our goal is simple and practical: that you leave not only better informed, but also connected to real people and real support—with follow-up appointments and next steps in place whenever possible.
The forum is open to people of all ages, including families with children, young adults, older adults, and veterans.
We hope to see you there!
