New Country Music Star Rollo White Performs at 2026 Sausage & Brew Fest Aug. 22

HOBART — On August 22nd country music’s newest star Rollo White makes his first Catskill Mountain region appearance at the Hobart Sausage and Brew Festival (5:30pm). Five-time Grammy award winner Joe Ferla will lead the 60s-inspired rhythm-and-groove Fisher Cats (3:30). The 16-piece Leatherstocking Big Band Jazz Orchestra, called “a wealth of musical talent wonderful in every way”, returns by popular demand (1:30).

Rollo White’s debut album Highway 81 Revisited has garnered stunning reviews in the country music scene. Named “one of the best Americana albums of the year” by Pure Country author Eddie Dean, it’s described as “impeccable, fantastically crafted, stands out from the crowd of 2025 singer-songwriter records in unforgettable, emphatic fashion, truly great stuff” by Aldora Britain Records. Dirty Rock Magazine called it “a brilliant soundtrack”. The Alternate Root Magazine wrote “Rollo White is an A-list songwriter” whose “results shine”. Bandcamp Daily recently listed the album among the year’s best country music.

The festival promises a wide-ranging musical extravaganza to suit all tastes, the mountain’s freshest farm-to-table local sausages, just-picked veggies, and a great selection of local craft beers. Vegetarian options are available.

With so many local family farms now using sustainable methods to raise free range livestock and grow small-batch produce, Delaware County is renowned for its delicious food products. The Sausage & Brew Fest was founded in Hobart in 2019 to share the Catskill Mountain story and celebrate local farms.

The party runs continually with dancing and music by DJ KDC, creative vendors and assorted games. Revel under the big tent or spread a blanket and picnic on the grass. Activities for children include hayrides, bouncy-house, face-painting, hula-hooping, jump-roping and cornhole. A 50-50 raffle will be held. 

The Sausage & Brew Fest attracts roughly 1,000 visitors from NY and elsewhere. Nestled between the 26-mile Catskill Scenic Trail in the northwestern Catskills and the meandering Delaware River, visitors have called the annual event an “awesome blast” and a “gift.” Overseas tourists have exclaimed, “This is our favorite place in all of America!”

NY State Senator Peter Oberacker made a special guest appearance at last year’s festival and spoke passionately to the crowd about his love of sausages. "It’s the sights and smells that grab you first,” he wrote later, “then the tastes, and finish up with great people and conversations. I recommend it highly."

Village residents say it’s a “summer highlight” that “does an excellent job of bringing people from all segments of our community together” and “something I look forward to every year.” 

Hobart is famous for its designation as The Book Village of the Catskills with seven independent bookstores, unique shops, and the cozy Book Village Inn with restaurant and coffee shop. The Historical Society on Cornell Avenue offers a self-guided walking tour of the village. On August 22nd Main Street’s MURAL Art Gallery will host the opening of an extensive exhibit of historical works by Anna Carroll, a local cultural leader and community photographer who chronicled the people and places of Hobart in the early 20th century. Festival visitors can enjoy a fascinating day in Hobart with all shops open 11am-5pm.

All proceeds from the festival benefit community service programs including food for hungry children.
