LEXINGTON - Potluck Dinner Church will be held on Friday, July 17 at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Lexington/West Kill UMC, Main Street, Lexington. Everyone welcomed.
Lexington Farmers Market Saturday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. is Community Resources Day and the regular vendors with their fresh local produce, cheeses, mushrooms, baked goods and more, will be joined by organizations that have a role to help others and the environment. Health Care is a Human Right will offer free massage, Reiki and acupuncture in the Municipal Building. Also at the market will be Prattsville Arts Center; Greene County Public Health and Health on Wheels; Health Care is a Human Right (with practitioners); Mountain Top Cares; Hunter Public Library; Cornell Cooperative Extension; Catskill Regional Invasive Species Partnership; Greene County Food Security Coalition; Catskill Mountain Club; Western Catskills; West Kill/Lexington Community Hall and Together for Youth. The Lexington Farmers Market is held under the pavilion at the Lexington Municipal Building, 3542 Route 42, Lexington.
Saturday, July 18 is the 56th annual Tannersville Fire Department’s Chicken BBQ, rain or shine. Takeouts are 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and sit down is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 donation.
The Mountain Top Parish Churches will hold a joint worship service in the North Settlement Church at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 19. All are invited to attend.

The Hunter Public Library, 7965 Main Street, Hunter, has a Summer Reading Program. Sign up for “Unearth a Story.” Register at the library Mondays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Receive a free ice cream coupon from Stewart’s Shops when you register. Greene County Youth Fair will be Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26 at the Angelo Canna Park, Cairo. Opening Ceremony is 9:30 a.m. on Thursday with Greene County Youth Awards, closing at 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with fireworks Saturday night at closing; Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free admission.
Monthly Medicare Minutes will be held at the Jewett Senior Service Center, on Friday, July 24 at 11:45 a.m. Representatives from Greene County Department of Human Services will be available with information and for questions.
Saturday, July 25 is the 16th annual Thunder in the Mountains Car Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Lexington Municipal Building, 3542 Route 42, Lexington, sponsored by the West Kill/Lexington Community Improvement Association. A fun filled day with trophies, 50/50 raffle, gift basket raffle, food, beverages. Vehicles 1995 or newer will have their own class. If you have questions, call Mary at 518-989-6813.
Stop into the Mountain Top Library, 6093 Main Street, Tannersville, for Story Time—A Time and Space for Magic, on Mondays 10:30 a.m. during the months of July and August.
The Greene County Public Health Mobile Unit will be parking at the Mountain Top Library on Mondays this summer from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. for education, screenings, free supplies and outreach.
The Tannersville Food Pantry is open to all on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The pantry is located by the Tannersville Firehouse. If you would like to donate non-perishable food, donations may be brought Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tannersville Village Hall, One Park, Place, Tannersville. You may also send a donation to Kaaterskill UMC, P. O. Box 225, Tannersville, NY 12485.
The Greene County Senior Nutrition Program menu for the week of July 20 – July 24 is as follows: Monday—Beef chili, meadow mixed vegetables, white rice, tropical fruit; Tuesday—Chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, green beans, rice pudding with raisins; Wednesday—Sweet and sour chicken, oriental mixed vegetables, vegetable fried rice, Pineapple Delight; Thursday—BBQ pulled pork (bun has gluten), coleslaw, baked beans, carrots, fresh fruit; Friday—Waldorf chicken salad, broccoli salad, macaroni salad, watermelon. All persons 60 and older are invited to attend. Meals served at noon, suggested $4 donation for each meal. Congregate reservations are required by noon at least a day in advance. If you reserve a meal and are unable to attend, please call as soon as you can to cancel.
