Time For That Christmas Feeling

STAMFORD – This is a sad year for the Christmas Feeling Fund and it "is with great sorrow that the Christmas Feeling Fund team announces the passing of its founder and chairman, George C. Bergleitner Jr., last December. Our hope is the Christmas Feeling Fund will continue its mission, serving our surrounding communities, and we invite you to join us."

Now in its 54th year, the fund assists families in need during the holiday season by providing good cheer, turkeys, vegetables. fruit, winter clothing, toys and candy. For many children, Christmas Feeling provides the only Christmas they will have.

Each year we are deeply moved by the generosity of so many individuals, organizations, businesses and churches that make the Fund a success.

During the 2025 holiday season, Christmas Feeling provided assistance to 162 families and approximately 500 individuals. We were able to provide some emergency relief. The Fund helps ease, even if only a little it, the burdens of rural poverty.

George Bergleitner saw that with his own eyes and made it his mission each year to issue his appeals to get what was needed to make the holidays a little bit brighter for those less fortunate.

Once again, we are asking for your support. Your financial assistance is requested and greatly appreciated. As George would say, no amount is too small. We would also be grateful for clothing, toys, non-perishable food or any other suitable items you may be able to provide.

Your contribution will help to make this Christmas season a happier one for our neighbors in need.

Checks may be sent to Christmas Feeling Fund, 108 Main St., Stamford, NY 12167.
