U-Pick Lavender Days and Special Events Return Through July 19 at Slate Hill Lavender Farm

SHARON SPRINGS, NY — Lavender season has arrived at Slate Hill Lavender Farm, and visitors are invited to experience the beauty, fragrance, and tranquility of the farm during its annual U-Pick Lavender Days and seasonal events. The farm is open Wednesday - Sunday through July 19, 2026, offering guests the opportunity to cut fresh lavender, stroll the fields, and shop the Lavender Barn while the lavender is in bloom.

Nestled on a scenic hillside overlooking a picturesque valley in historic Sharon Springs, Slate Hill Lavender Farm grows five varieties of lavender that bloom at different times throughout the season, providing weeks of vibrant color and fragrance. The farm is conveniently located within driving distance of Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga Springs, Oneonta, Utica, and Cooperstown.

Visitors can enjoy a hands-on farm experience by harvesting their own lavender while taking in picturesque views. The farm grows English lavender varieties Hidcote, Big Time Blue, Super Blue, all favored by visitors for their deep blue color, Munstead is selected for culinary purposes along with Phenomenal lavender, known for its’s fragrance.

U-Pick Lavender Information

• Open Wednesday–Sunday through July 19

• U-Pick lavender: $10 per bunch

• All cutting tools are provided

• Fresh and dried lavender bunches, lavender plants, sachets, culinary products, and handcrafted gifts are available in the Lavender Barn

• Please wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear, as the lavender field is located on a hillside

• Pets cannot be accommodated on the farm due to insurance restrictions
