Around the Neighborhood in Seward - 10 July 2026

SEWARD - Welcome  back readers! July has brought some cooler weather to our homestead, and our animals are loving it!  At the start of July, my husband cut hay for our animals. Friday was a warm day to be out, but he got it done. Thank you Danny for helping  us feed our farm animals! We picked it up on Sunday and brought it home. On our way to grab the hay, Dalton got a call from one of his friends.  He had a blown tire and was on the side of the road. We loaded hay, brought it home, then went to rescue him.  This is his first car and did not check to see if he had tools for this occasion. He did not, so Jeremy used this as a teaching moment for Gabe and our boys.

Last Wednesday was our first market in Seward, for the season.  We have some new vendors like:  Four Elements Farm, Damin Farm, and Oops A Daisy Farm. We also had returning vendors like: Sunstruck Farm,  Ooh Fudge, Piggy Pop, and Pig Out. We brought back our amazing food truck Waked N Baked Up! Thank you to everyone who came out in the heat. We had one Veteran come as well. Thank you for your service sir!

The public  got to see the new Seward Plow truck. Thank you to Highway Superintendent Chad Evans, for bringing it down. I gave the truck the nickname of Betty. Because she is a white truck, and I love Betty White, to give you a little giggle.

There are some amazing people  in our town. Together we make this little town a community.  I would like to take a moment to send out some prayers and love to three locals I know fighting a health battle.  You are very strong and you can win. I am in your corner and here for you if you need me. I believe  in sending out good and prayers to help others.  If you believe in that too,  please send some out for them♡

Last week, we were busy with markets. We were at the Seward Farmers and Artisans Market, Wednesday.  Friday we had to break up. Jeremy went to Little Lake Campground.  The boys and I were on the 4th Friday in Middleburgh.  Saturday I had to head down to the fairgrounds to help CPI set up for their July 4 celebration.  It was a busy few days. We would like to thank everyone who supported our small business last week. We can not make it without our our amazing customers! We see you and appreciate you!

This week we only have one market. The Festival Farmers Market at the Gathering Place,  begins this Saturday. They are open 10:00- 2:00. Stop on in and  grab your goods and see your local farmers.  We also have two graduation parties, Kenton from OESJ and Zackary from Morris!

Mark your calendars for July 15! Seward Farmers and Artisans Market is celebrating Christmas in July! Santa,  Mrs. Clause,  and the Grinch will be there! Stop in to see them and the Sharon Pathfinders snowmobile club! We will have two food trucks, Waked N Baked Up and JDs Chicken.  Piggy Pop,  Pig Out,  Damin Farm,  Oops A Daisy Farm, Ooh Fudge, Four Elements Farm,  and Sunstruck Farm will be there too! Local produce, new jarred goods, fresh lemonade,  baked goods, kettle corn, hand made pottery,  goat milk soap, and more! Stay tuned we have new vendors and new ideas for the season!

Don't forget on Monday July 13 at 6:30 p.m is your local Seward Town Board Meeting.  On July 17 at 9:00 a.m. I will be heading to the Schoharie County building.  I will be fighting to save our little  market, and all the others around. They are at risk for being taken away. If you feel like me, come on  down to the Board of Supervisors meeting and voice your opinion to save them!

May July be full of comfortable days and relaxing nights♡
