Candidate for Congress Robert Smullen, Assemblyman and State Senate Candidate Chris Tague, Todd Hood, Joe Hernandez, and former Congressman and Assemblyman Marc Molinaro were Guest Speakers at the Republican Lincoln Day Dinner.

CENTRAL BRIDGE — The Annual Lincoln Day Dinner drew a full house this year, and the energy in the room never dipped Friday at the Olde Tater Barn in Central Bridge. Republicans gathered for an evening of camaraderie, good food, and a renewed sense of purpose as they look ahead to the June 23 primaries and the November election. County GOP Chairman and Assemblyman Chris Tague set the tone early, delivering a spirited message that had the crowd fired up and ready to get to the polls.

A lineup of guest speakers added to the excitement. Marc Molinaro, candidate for State Assembly; Sheriff Todd Hood, running for Lieutenant Governor; Robert Smullen for Congress in NY21; Joe Hernandez for State Comptroller; and Chris Tague for NYS Senate in District 51 all shared their visions and priorities. Bruce Blakeman, candidate for Governor, joined by phone to talk about his plan to make New York more affordable for families across the state.

Chairman Tague emphasized the importance of standing firm for “our upstate values, our farms, and our law enforcement,” a message that drew enthusiastic applause.

One of the evening’s highlights was the announcement of Harold Vroman as Republican of the Year, honoring his dedication and service to Schoharie County. The Chairman Appreciation Awards were also presented to former Treasurer Mary Ann Wollaber Bryan, former Carlisle Town Supervisor Larry Bradt, Middleburgh Town Councilwoman Sue Makely, and Lisa Wayman for their ongoing commitment to the community and the Republican Party.

The night closed with plenty of smiles, handshakes, and a shared sense that this year’s election season is officially underway — and off to a strong start.
