Vheck out the hilarious NYC comedian Rebecca Kaplan (Letterman, NPR, SiriusXM) perform live at the Prattsville Art Center! Expect a night of raunchy comedy about autism, dating, Jews, nerds and more. Opening is fellow NYC comedian Zivan Vasquez, with host Jolly Joe Jester. Tickets are by suggested $5 donation or pay-what-you-wish. The event is May 23 at 7:30 at the Prattsville Art Center at 14562 State Route 23, Prattsville.

As a girl growing up in the 90s, everyone seemed to know Rebecca had Autism Spectrum Disorder except for her! And her parents! However, one thing was crystal clear: she had no idea how to “act normal.” This show will cover Rebecca's hilarious journey of self-exploration and her lifelong struggle to adapt, including following advice from her friends, female pickup artists, and at one point literally googling “how to act normal” and landing on the pinnacle of the ‘00s internet: WikiHow. This show will be extremely relatable to anyone who’s ever felt a little bit socially awkward, whether you have ASD or not (or if you’re still searching for that elusive diagnosis).

Rebecca Kaplan is an adorably awkward standup comedian. Her acerbic wit and relatable insights have entertained crowds all over the world. She's appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and has been featured on SiriusXM, NPR, and the front page of WorldStarHipHop. She lives in NYC, where she co-hosts the Bad Fan Fic podcast. Follow her on all social media at @RebeccaTKaplan to check out her clips.
