Route 990V in Gilboa closed off in both directions for the manhunt. State police initially wouldn't let people who lived on 990V go to their houses and wouldn't tell them why. The road was shut down most of the day while the search went on.
State Police established a command center at the Gilboa dam offices. While attempting to gain information for the newspaper I observed a helicopter circling the area, and multiple S.W.A.T. armored vehicles arriving.
