Senior Congregate Meal Sites Open
Local residents are invited to enjoy noon-time meals and good company (except holidays) at one of Schoharie County Office for the Aging’s congregate meal sites:
-Jefferson (Tues./Wed./Thurs.), Community Center, Rte. 10
-Sharon Springs (Mon./Wed./Fri), Firehouse, 137 Beechwood Rd.) Reserve a meal by calling Schoharie County OFA at 518-295-2001 before 2 pm the day before you want to go.
The suggested voluntary contribution is $5 per meal for individuals age 60 and older and $7.50 per meal for those under 60.
Cherry Valley – Community Yard Sales
Cherry Valley Community Yard Sales will be held on Memorial weekend during Spring into Summer, Cherry Valley’s weekend long celebration with live music, great food, workshops, vendors, community wide yard sales and more.
Memorial Day
All banks, government institutions, and schools will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25th.
Cobleskill – Memorial Day Service
The American Legion Post 57 will host a Memorial Day ceremony Monday, May 25th at 10 AM at Veterans Park. Wreaths will be placed during this rain-or-shine ceremony with military honors rendered.
Richmondville – Richmondville Days
The Village of Richmondville will be hosting its annual “Richmondville Days” from Friday, June 5th through Sunday, June 7th. Festivities will include live music, parade, and fireworks.
OFA and The Gathering Place Offer Grab & Go Meals
The Schoharie County Office for the Aging’s offers healthy grab & go meals for individuals 60 years+ at two sites:
-Cobleskill (Mon.-Fri. 10 a.m.-2 p.m.), The Gathering Place, 127 Kenyon Rd. Interested individuals must reserve meals 24 hours in advance by calling Judy at 518-920-3757 between 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
-Schoharie (Tues./Wed./Thurs. 11 a.m.-1 p.m.), OFA Office, 113 Park Pl., Suite 3. Interested individuals must reserve meals 24 hours in advance by calling OFA at 518-295-2001.

Summit ZBA to Meet May 27
The Town of Summit Board of Appeals meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Weds, May 27, 2026, at Summit Town Hall.
