WHATEVER - It was just a few days ago I watched froggies swimming (and flirting) in a little pond that only shows up in early spring.

They were languishing in the warm sun and then that expletive snow and ice storm came, driving them under the frozen surface again.

Ah well, what’s a rural rambler supposed to do but quite grumbling and slog into the expletive snow and ice, joining it rather than trying to beat it?

Whatever way a person looks at these things, they stay the same and being submerged in a glassy world was bewitching for a while.

Soon enough, my feet soaked through my boots and socks, it was back to the toasty fire, struggling to ward off the wintry wind. Ah bliss.
