Bovina is launching a Hometown Heroes Banner Program as a living tribute for our community to honor past and present members of the Armed Forces.
Town of Bovina 2025 Comprehensive Plan
The Town of Bovina is pleased to announce the adoption of its Final Comprehensive Plan, a guiding document that outlines our community's vision for growth, development, and preservation of Bovina's unique character over the next 5 to 10 years. Printed copies are available in the Town Clerk's Office and the Bovina Library.

Volume limit of 55 gallons per day. The Delaware County Solid Waste Management Center is open 5 days a week, including Saturday, if you need to dispose of more than the 55-gallon volume limit.
Highway Department
The Town of Bovina Highway Department is looking for a full time heavy equipment operator. The applicant must be capable of operating highway equipment, have some mechanical skills, have a CDL class B license or the ability to get one and pass a drug screening. Benefits are available after a probation period. Rate of pay is: Non-CDL - $19.71/hr & MEO - $23.10/hr as of January 2026. Local Law to Override Tax Levy Limit
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Town Board for the Town of Bovina at the Community Hall on the 13th day of October 2026, at 6:00 p.m., regarding the adoption of a Local Law to Override the Tax Levy Limit established in General Municipal Law §3-c. This law is being proposed to comply with subdivision 5 of the General Municipal Law §3-c which expressly authorizes the Town Board to override the tax levy limit by the adoption of a local law approved by a vote of at least sixty percent (60%) of the Town Board. At such time and place, all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be heard concerning the same.
Copies of the proposed law shall be available at the time of the hearing and shall be available prior to and after the hearing at the Town Clerk’s Office.
The proposed Local Law to Override the Tax levy Limit Established in General Municipal Law §3-c establishes the Bovina Town Board’s intent to override the limit on the amount of real property taxes that may be levied by the Town of Bovina.
The Bovina Town Board held a Budget Workshop on September 28, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Community Hall.
Dog Owners
An owner of a dog four months of age or over in the Town of Bovina shall obtain a current license for said dog. An owner of a dog four months of age or over in the Town of Bovina in accordance with the requirements of the Agriculture and Markets law of the State of New York, shall be required to have the dog vaccinated to prevent the spread of rabies. The above shall not apply to dogs brought into the town for a period not to exceed fifteen (15) days. Please license your dog(s)! Forms are available through the Town Clerk's Office. Call 607-832-4302 to request a new dog license form and it will be mailed to you.
