The Albany Stratton VA Medical Center launches a remote food pantry at its community-based outpatient clinic. The Catskill Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) will open an on-site food pantry to address food insecurity among Veterans in the rural Columbia-Greene region. This initiative, led by the Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE), was developed to ensure local Veterans have reliable access to nutritious foods in addition to medical care. The pantry, just the second of its kind in New York State, is established through a growing partnership with the Regional Food Bank, ensuring a sustainable supply of food for Veterans in need.

A tour of the new pantry will be offered, and leaders of the Catskill VA Clinic, Albany Stratton VA Medical Center and the Regional Food Bank will be available to discuss this unique need within the community and how this collaboration was made possible.
