Senior Congregate Meal Sites Open

Local residents are invited to enjoy noon-time meals and good company (except holidays) at one of Schoharie County Office for the Aging’s congregate meal sites:

-Jefferson (Tues./Wed./Thurs.), Community Center, Rte. 10

-Sharon Springs (Mon./Wed./Fri), Firehouse, 137 Beechwood Rd.) Reserve a meal by calling Schoharie County OFA at 518-295-2001 before 2 pm the day before you want to go.

The suggested voluntary contribution is $5 per meal for individuals age 60 and older and $7.50 per meal for those under 60.

Cobleskill – Bulldogs Football

The Cobleskill-Richmondville (CRCS) Bulldogs will be hosting the Institute of Tech (Syracuse) Eagles tonight at the CRCS High School. Kickoff is at 7:00 PM.

Labor Day

All banks, government institutions, and schools will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Richmondville – Town Board Meeting

The Richmondville Town Board will be holding its monthly meeting on Thursday, September 10th at 6:00 PM at the Town Municipal Building (104 Municipal Lane off of Podpadic Road).

Cherry Valley – Town Board Meeting

The Cherry Valley Town Board will be holding its monthly meeting on Thursday, September 10th at 7:00 PM at the Cherry Valley Community Center (2 Genesee Street).

Cobleskill – Hydrant Flushing Notice

The Cobleskill Water Department will begin flushing water mains within the Village, Warnerville and the Town of Cobleskill September 8, 2026, through October 16, 2026, during the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm, Monday through Friday.

OFA and The Gathering Place Offer Grab & Go Meals

The Schoharie County Office for the Aging’s offers healthy grab & go meals for individuals 60 years+ at two sites:

-Cobleskill (Mon.-Fri. 10 a.m.-2 p.m.), The Gathering Place, 127 Kenyon Rd. Interested individuals must reserve meals 24 hours in advance by calling Judy at 518-920-3757 between 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

-Schoharie (Tues./Wed./Thurs. 11 a.m.-1 p.m.), OFA Office, 113 Park Pl., Suite 3. Interested individuals must reserve meals 24 hours in advance by calling OFA at 518-295-2001.
