1 min read 96 views

On Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, the Mountaintop Cares Coalition will bring to us this wonderful workshop to celebrate Earth Day.

Children ages 7 to 10 years old are invited to join us as we explore samples of soil.  An important part of the Earth, that along with other natural resources, will create healthy food that supports all living things.  Participants will do experiments to identify the 4 layers of soil and 9 layers of rich soil (foam).  They will make a nutrient mix to use at home in their own gardens or plant a sunflower seed and watch it grow.

This event will take place from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, and we do ask that you call 518-734-4405 to register.

Windham Public Library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00am - 5:00pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00am - 6:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am  - 1:00pm.
