Grand Larceny Arrest Follows Debit Card Complaint

DELHI — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced the arrest of a Maryland resident for Grand Larceny following a Fraud Complaint.

On Tuesday night, February 11th, 2025, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a Fraud Complaint in the Town of Delhi. 

After completion of the investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies found that 18-year-old Kayla Gonsalves of Maryland NY had used a debit card in which she had no permission to use and attempted to make multiple transactions through DoorDash. 

On February 12th, 2025, Gonsalves was arrested and charged with Fourteen Counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Class E Felonies in the New York State Penal Law. 

Upon completion of arrest processing, Gonsalves was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Delhi Court at a later date.
