H-T Hosts Their First Ski Race of the Season at Hunter Mountain

HUNTER - The Hunter-Tannersville Ski Team hosted their first Giant Slalom race of the year at Hunter Mountain on January 12, 2024. H-T Ski Coach Allison Hyer said, “I’m excited to be back on the hill with the HTC ski team. We’ve got a full roster of kids who already have made great progress with their training and we’re looking forward to an amazing season.” 

Margaretville’s Chase Norwick came in first at 28:14 and H-T’s William Schnider came in second at 28:83 in the Varsity Men’s Giant Slalom. 

WAJ’s Piper Cohane and Sophia Dyjak came in first (27:32) and second (28:31) respectively in the Women’s Varsity Giant Slalom.

The next competition will be a Slalom race and is scheduled for February 5th at Hunter Mountain. 

H-T’s William Schnider came in 2nd with a time of 28:83 during the Giant Slalom at Hunter Mountain on January 12, 2024.



Hunter-Tannersville’s Teagan Mahoney, AKA The Pink One, took 6th place with a time of 30:71 at the Giant Slalom at Hunter Mountain.

Margaretville’s Chase Norwick took 1st place (28:14) at the Giant Slalom at Hunter Mountain on January 12, 2024.


WAJ’s Devin Schlosser took 3rd place with a time of 29:42 at the Giant Slalom at Hunter Mountain on January 12, 2024.


WAJ’s Piper Cohane took 1st place during the Giant Slalom at Hunter Mountain with a time of 27:32.


WAJ’s Sophia Dyjak took 2nd place (28:31) at the Varsity Giant Slalom at Hunter Mountain on January 12, 2024.


Margaretville’s River Williams took 10th place (34:29) at the Giant Slalom at Hunter Mountain.


Roxbury’s Dennis Slauson took 4th place with a time of 29:99 at the Giant Slalom at Hunter Mountain on January 12, 2024.

Roxbury’s Logan Vamosy took 8th place with a time of 30:70 at the Giant Slalom at Hunter Mountain.
