Sunday School Sign - This sign is from a time when the Old Stone Fort was a Sunday school. Between 1844-1857 the Fort was no longer an active church but not yet an armory. These photos were sent to us by the Old Stone Fort in Schoharie’s Clay Edmunds.

Burglar-Proof Safe - This bank vault has several burglar proof features working in its favor. An alarm system, visible on top of the safe, helped deter thieves. Two combination locks provided an additional layer of security. And, as our guides often like to joke, the third reason it was burglar proof was simple— it was far too heavy to carry away.
