SCHOHARIE - The Schoharie County Historical Society invites community members to participate in a hands-on Historic Marker Training Day led by Bill Bellinger on Saturday, May 30 at 2:00 PM.

The training will take place at the Badgley Annex, located at 148 Fort Road in Schoharie, and will provide participants with practical instruction on the process of cleaning and repainting historic markers throughout Schoharie County. This workshop offers a unique opportunity for individuals to actively contribute to the preservation of local history while learning valuable restoration techniques.

The event is free and open to the public. No prior experience is necessary, just an interest in history and a willingness to help maintain these important community landmarks. Participants will have the chance to learn new skills, connect with others, and play a direct role in keeping Schoharie County’s historical markers in excellent condition.
