MARGARETVILLE - Trustee and Candidate Iris Mead

An article titled Village Elections March 18 stated that "Trustee Mead did not respond to emails by press time." The proper contact information for Trustee Iris Mead was inaccurate. Upon reading the article, Mead reached out to the paper for responses.

Mead has served Margaretville for 16 years. "After moving back to the village after living elsewhere for quite a while," she said, "I felt the board needed a new face and I thought I might be able to bring some new ideas to the village."

When asked what makes her a good candidate, Mead said her past experience and knowledge of village affairs. If re-elected, Mead will prioritize safe drinking water, noting the village is already on the path to do this.
