Sunday, June 21 is the 28th Annual Father’s Day Cruisin’ on the Mountain Top Car Show with antique and classic vehicles starting at 10 a.m. in Tannersville.
The annual Children’s Fishing Derby at Onteora Park Association Lake, sponsored by the Catskill Mountain Fish and Game Club and the Stony Clove Rod and Gun Club, is Sunday, June 21, free entry. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and fishing from 10 a.m. to noon, children up to 16 years old. Sixteen years old must have a valid fishing license. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the day. Free bait and refreshment will be available. Adults must be present but may not assist in landing fish. All fish will be returned after measuring. Entry from Cranberry Road off 23C, approximately one mile north of the traffic light in Tannersville.
Monthly Medicare Minutes representative will be at the Senior Center at the Jewett Municipal Building, 518-263-4392, on Friday June 26 at 11:45 a.m. to help you understand your benefits and make the most of your Medicare coverage. Lunch is served at noon and open to all Greene County residents age 60 and older. If you would like to stay for lunch, please call the center at least a day in advance to reserve a meal.

The Greene County Senior Nutrition Program menu for the week of June 22 – June 26 is as follows: Monday—Sweet and sour chicken, oriental mixed vegetables, vegetable fried rice, peaches; Tuesday—Stuffed shells with sausage, meadow mixed vegetables, rice pudding with raisins; Wednesday—French onion pork chops, Italian green beans, egg noodles, cookies with applesauce; Thursday—Kielbasa with sauerkraut (bun has gluten), carrots, baked beans, fresh fruit; Friday—Shrimp Scampi, tossed salad, spinach, linguini, fresh fruit. All persons 60 and older are invited to attend. Meals served at noon, suggested $4 donation for each meal. Congregate reservations are required by noon at least a day in advance.
