Revolutionary War Patriots Honored in Lawyersville

LAWYERSVILLE — Three Revolutionary War Patriots who are buried in the Lawyersville Cemetery were honored on June 20 with a Patriot Burial Marker dedication ceremony hosted by Captain Christian Brown Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.  The guest speaker was County Historian Ted Shuart, who spoke about each of the patriots and their contributions to the cause of freedom.

The event was attended by local dignitaries, Lawyersville Cemetery Board members, Lawyersville Scout Troop #56, the American Legion, Schoharie Country Honor Guard, Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution and community members.
