SCHOHARIE — Sadiyah Abdur-Rashid, a 2022 Schoharie Central School graduate, is celebrating an expansion of her business, Saud’s Mobile Detailing.

A subject of an 2025 interview with the newspaper, Abdur-Rashid has said that there has “been a lot of positive feedback” and that when customers return, it “shows that you’re doing something right.”

Her business has expanded enough that she was able to expand to Monday through Friday, with Saturdays by appointment. Abdur-Rashid has both mobile detailing as well as an indoor space to be able to complete her work.

“I’m growing every day,” she said. “I’m learning every day.”

Abdur-Rashid has been able to both learn on the job and reach out to those with experience in order to “go a little bit smoother along the way.”

The business owner said that she is offering more ceramic coatings this year. This is more available through her space at Cobleskill Collision, which has “gone a huge, huge way.” If she needs anything, Cobleskill Collision is always there to help her. She also credits Josh Loden from the Apple Barrel for his help providing positive feedback and a “push” towards the success of her business. She also thanked her former teacher Taylor Bogardus, who has had an "impact leading me in the right direction over the years" and who "definitely deserves recognition."

Abdur-Rashid has also organized several successful fundraisers for the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley.

“I enjoy giving back to the Shelter,” she said. The Shelter is growing quickly and “every penny does count for them.” For the size of the Shelter, Abdur-Rashid said “they do a phenomenal job.”

She said that as she grows, having support from those around her that she can call is essential.

Abdur-Rashid has especially enjoyed meeting new people, and many of those customers recommend her detailing services to their friends and family.

Saud’s Mobile Detailing services all of Schoharie County, and has also worked in Schenectady and Albany Counties. She is especially available in parts of Greene County, such as Windham.

The owner said that she really enjoys being busy. In time, she hopes to be able to build a schedule to be able to help customers drop off vehicles for detailing at specific times.

Detailing your car as a great “return on value,” she said. It helps with being able to trade in vehicles. Furthermore, a cleaner vehicle also helps with personal health. She cites the cleanliness of steering wheels and door hands.

“What goes out also comes in,” she said.
