SCHA Announces Summer Programs at Depot Lane

SCHOHARIE — We are thrilled to announce that the Summer Programs at Depot Lane are back for our 25th year of excellence in children’s cultural enrichment at Schoharie Colonial Heritage Association! This summer, we invite students to join us for an exciting journey as we explore "Opa! Let’s Go to Greece!"

Our programs are designed to allow for creative expression and cultural connections. Please consider registering your child or grandchild for these highly praised programs.  Please note,  Vocal Camp is accepting registrations for the waitlist, however, there are still spots available for Band Camp.  

Vocal Camp – “A Musical Journey to Greece!”   (Currently accepting registrations for the waitlist). 

- Dates: July 6 – 11

- Ages: Students entering grades 2 – 6

- Details: Performers will explore Greek culture through singing, acting, and dance. Participants will bring Greek myths to life through storytelling and learn traditional folk songs and dances.

- Performances: Friday, July 10th at 6 PM and Saturday, July 11th at 2 PM.

Band Camp – “From Myth to Melody: Discovering Greek Music & Dance”

- Dates: July 20 – 25

- Ages: Students entering grades 6 – 12 (minimum 2 years of instrument experience or by instructor's discretion).

- Details: Students will be immersed in the melodies and rhythms of Greece, exploring traditional folk songs and modern Greek culture.

- Performances: Friday, July 24th at 7 PM (at Depot Lane Theater) and Saturday, July 25th at 6:05 PM (at Schoharie Presbyterian Church).

- Times: All workshops run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

- Location: Depot Lane Theater, 143 Depot Lane, Schoharie, NY.

- Cost: The programs are FREE to attend; however, a small $10 deposit per camper/per camp is required to secure a spot. Deposits are applied toward performance admission ($5/person).

- Registration: The deadline to register is June 27th. Space is limited, so we encourage you to register early via our website.
