JEFFERSON — The Jefferson Heritage Day Committee has announced the lineup for its upcoming outdoor Summer Movie Series to be held on the Jefferson Green.
Sponsored by local business 2 Scoops Ice Cream Shop, the seasonal event features four film screenings running from late June through late August. Admission to all screenings is free to the public.
The series kicks off at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26, with a showing of the family comedy "Night at the Museum."
The second installment is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, as part of the town’s annual Heritage Day festivities. The classic thriller "Jaws" will be shown immediately following the conclusion of the evening's fireworks display.
The lineup continues at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 24, with the coming-of-age baseball comedy "The Sandlot." The series will conclude at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, August 21, with the adventure film "Jumanji: The Next Level."
Organizers note that in the event of inclement weather, rain dates for the respective films will be scheduled for the following Saturday nights. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, and picnics to the park.
