Sympathy to the family of Pat Dunham Smith on her recent passing. As a personal friend, she was my best friend in Prattsville on moving here in 1952. I had spent a few summers in Prattsville before the move and Pat introduced me to her friends, in those days everyone was your friend, and the rest is history. Secrets were shared along with hopes and dreams, accented with giggles and memories, and outright fits of laughter. Funeral arrangements will be available at a later date in August. Rest in peace Pat.

Ursula Gurley Lindley was in Prattsville for five days recently, keeping her mother company, or as the family said, “baby sitting”. Lots of mother/daughter time was well spent.

The Barrier Dam swimming spots did not seem to be as busy as they have been in years past. Or perhaps I was not driving by at the right time. Have a good time at the Barrier.
