3 min read 5 views

STAMFORD — This summer, the sounds of live music will once again fill the air in the heart of the Western Catskills as the beloved High Noon Tunes Concert Series returns to Stamford. Set against the scenic backdrop of Mount Utsayantha, this free weekly concert series invites residents and visitors alike to gather, unwind, and celebrate community through music.

Running Thursdays from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, mid-June through early September, High Noon Tunes takes place at Stamford Veterans Memorial Park. The series features a rotating lineup of regional musicians spanning genres from folk and country to Americana and interactive singalongs—all designed to bring people together in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

In recognition of the park’s significance, each concert includes a brief moment to honor and thank the veterans for whom the park is dedicated—ensuring their service and sacrifice remain at the heart of every gathering.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket, grab lunch from a local eatery, and enjoy an hour of live entertainment in the open air. Attendees can also make a day of it by exploring Stamford’s local businesses or taking a stroll along the nearby Catskill Scenic Trail.

“This series is about more than just music—it’s about connection,” organizers note. “It’s an opportunity to slow down, support local, and experience everything that makes Stamford special.”

In the event of rain, concerts will move indoors just down Railroad Avenue  to The Function at Catskills Junction, 28 Railroad Avenue, Stamford, NY 12167 ensuring the music plays on regardless of weather.
