EAST DURHAM — The Catskill Mountain Thunder Motorcycle Festival is one of the largest annual events in Greene County—and without a doubt, one of the loudest!
Held at the Blackthorne Resort at 348 Sunside Road in East Durham, This year September 15th to the 20th. it brings thousands of motorcycle riders and enthusiasts from all over the United States and beyond.

Maybe your favorite band is playing. Maybe you've always wanted to see the Wall of Death. Maybe you're curious about the motorcycles, the people or simply want to experience something completely different right here in Greene County. Come with your family, your friends, your neighbors or just come by yourself. Walk around, listen to the music, watch the shows, grab something to eat and soak it all in. I honestly can't imagine living in Greene County and never experiencing Catskill Mountain Thunder. There is something almost magical about seeing thousands of people come together in the mountains, sharing a love of motorcycles, music, friendship and the freedom of the open road. It has become much more than an event to me—it has become a tradition and one of the things I look forward to most every year. For many of us, it feels like one big family reunion where we get to see old friends and make new ones.
I've said for many, many years that the only bad thing about Catskill Mountain Thunder Motorcycle Festival every year "is that it ends".
