Friday, Aug. 7 the Greene Room Players Songbirds will hold a free concert at the Mountain Top Library, 6093 Main Street, Tannersville at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 8, stop at the West Kill/Lexington Community Hall, 141 Spruceton Road, West Kill, 9 a.m. to noon to pick up your printed self-guided tour for locations of graves of Revolutionary War soldiers who lived or died in Lexington.  Light refreshments will be available at the hall.  Cemeteries to visit are the Lexington, Angle, Jewett, Prattsville and Windham cemeteries. Hosted by Town of Lexington Historians Mary Palazzolo and Christine Dwon.

Jewett Fire Department’s annual Brooks Chicken BBQ is Saturday, Aug. 15 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the firehouse on Route 17, Jewett.  The Ashland Community Church will be hold a bake sale at the same time and location.

The Tannersville Food Pantry is open to all on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  The pantry is located by the Tannersville Firehouse.  If you would like to donate non-perishable food, donations may be brought Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tannersville Village Hall, One Park Place Tannersville.  You may also send a donation to Kaaterskill UMC, POB 225, Tannersville, NY 12485.

The Greene County Public Health Mobile Van is parked at the Mountain Top Library, 6093 Main Street, Tannersville, 518-589-5707, on Mondays this summer from 2:15 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. Visit the Mobile Van for education, screenings, free supplies and outreach.

The West Kill Community Cemetery Association will hold the annual meeting Monday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. at the West Kill/Lexington Community Hall, 141 Spruceton Road, West Kill.

Saturday, Aug. 29 there will be a Roast Beef Dinner at the Lanesville UMC, 1513 Route 214, Lanesville, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Greene County Senior Nutrition Program menu for the week of Aug. 10 – Aug. 14 is as follows: Monday—Chili dog, baked beans, carrots, tropical fruit; Tuesday—Salisbury steak, meatballs, Italian green beans, egg noodles, pears; Wednesday—Salmon with dill sauce, Brussels sprouts, rice pilaf, cookies and applesauce; Thursday—Roast pork loin with gravy and applesauce, mashed potato, California vegetable mix, fruited Jell-O; Friday—Seafood pasta salad, mixed greens, coleslaw, marinated vegetable salad, fresh fruit.  All persons 60 and older are invited to attend.  Meals served at noon, suggested $4 donation for each meal.  Congregate reservations are required by noon at least a day in advance.  If you reserve a meal and are unable to attend, please call as soon as you can to cancel.  The number to call for the Senior Service Center at the Jewett Municipal Building, 3547 Route 23C, Jewett is 518-263-4392.
