Garry O. Davis and Michelle A. Davis of Richmondville, New York, are pleased to announce the marriage of their son, 1st Lieutenant Justin Tyler Davis, to Isabel Shannon Beaver, daughter of Michael Beaver, of Suffolk, Virginia, and Linda Mulheren of Newport, Virginia.
The couple's ceremony and reception were at Gilbert Lake State Park in Laurens, New York, on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, with their family friend Patrick Conlon officiating. The best man was Case VanDeValk of Mechanicville, New York, and the groomsman was Eric Dolen of Green Island, New York. The maid of honor was Kate Audino-Conlon of Ballston Lake, New York, and bridesmaid Lea Maney of New Paltz, New York. Ring bearers were the groom's nephews, Matthew and Ryan Davis of Canajoharie, New York.
Justin and Isabel were originally married at their home in Richmondville in an intimate elopement on November 15th, 2025, but decided to officially celebrate the occasion in the summer, surrounded by friends and family.
The bride wore a beautiful white dress with upper lace and beadwork, and the groom wore his Army Service Uniform. The wedding was a 3-day event was celebrated with 70 guests of family and friends from all around the United States, Puerto Rico, and across the Atlantic from Switzerland. The celebration included a large reception dinner, a brandy toast honoring their Slovenian roots, cake cutting with a sword, dancing, sparkler send-off, and a pancake breakfast the following day.
Both the bride and groom are graduates from Clarkson University, Isabel graduating in 2019 and Justin graduating in 2020. Isabel holds a Bachelor of Science from Clarkson in Biomolecular Science, and Justin holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Isabel also recently completed a second Bachelor's from Western Governors University in Secondary Science, and Justin is starting a Master's in Science in Management from the Senior Military College of Norwich University. Isabel was formerly employed at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals as a Sr. Biotech Production Specialist and a Manufacturing Training Specialist and is now set to begin full-time as a Biology teacher at Cobleskill-Richmondville Central Schools in Richmondville this fall. Justin is a commissioned Engineer Officer in the New York Army National Guard with over 6 years of service and is also a Transmission Engineer with the New York Power Authority in North Blenheim, New York.
The couple enjoyed an early honeymoon in the spring, traveling to the tropical island of St. Lucia. They have also decided to make Richmondville their home, becoming the third generation of the Davis family to do so, residing on a 50-acre 1850 farmstead.
