In Memory of Gloria Lillian Falcone

May 2, 1931 to June 25, 2026

Gloria Lillian Falcone, of Anderson Road, Middleburgh, died peacefully on Thursday June 25, 2026 at Albany Medical Center.

Gloria was born 95 years ago in Flushing, NY on May 2, 1931 and married her sweetheart, Joseph Falcone, on October 7, 1950.  Together they raised a beautiful family and celebrated 66 years together before Joe predeceased her in 2017.

Gloria lived in Hempstead, Long Island for many years and worked as public school crossing guard also, while raising her family.   In retirement, she and Joe moved to Middleburgh and raised sheep at their hilltop home. Gloria loved knitting, sewing, quilting and working on her loom.

Never one to sit idle, she was in the Friendship Club, the Timothy Murphy American Legion Post # 248 Ladies Auxiliary, the Middleburgh Golden Age Club and the Schoharie County Shephard's Association to name just a few.

Gloria was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Middleburgh and shared her quilting talents with other ladies in the Phoebe Circle, making beautiful quilts and gifts for others in need.

Loving Gloria forever are her children: Mike (Diane) Falcone, Karen (George) Wylie, Laurie (Peter) Onorio, Lorri (Jimmy) O'Malley, Patty Turner, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, her St. Mark's Church family and friends.
