Beards Hollow Church

457-419, Co Rd 23, Richmondville, NY 12149

Beards Hollow Church is a historic, rural landmark located at 457-419 County Road 23 in Richmondville, New York. Nestled in a valley at the southern border of the town, near the hamlet of Beards Hollow and the village of Summit, this traditional community church serves as a highly recognized visual and cultural anchor for the local area.

The historic structure is preserved and operated primarily by the Beards Hollow Society. Rather than holding services year-round, the church strictly opens for a special summer sermon series throughout the month of August. Each Sunday features different guest preachers and community music gatherings.

Directly behind the building sits the small, historic Beards Hollow Church Cemetery. It contains the gravesites of early local settlers and prominent regional farming families (such as the Becker family) dating back into the 19th century.

The property features a wheelchair-accessible parking lot and public restroom facilities on-site to accommodate summer visitors.
