Expanding prevention, harm reduction and support for those in treatment and recovery in Columbia and Greene Counties.

Our mission is to prevent substance misuse and related harms through data driven strategies and collaborative action.

We foster communication across all sectors to expand prevention, harm reduction, and individualized support for those seeking treatment & recovery. We envision a safe community in which all individuals are supported to live and thrive.

What We Do

  • PSAs and Awareness Campaigns
  • Youth programming and events
  • Advocacy and policy initiatives
  • Free Narcan trainings and supplies
  • Free medication safety and disposal kits
  • Community education, presentations, workshops and guest speakers for schools, organizations, etc.
  • Linkage to local resources for treatment options and recovery support

Awareness & Education

Increase public understanding of the risks and consequences associated with substance use and misuse. Provide accessible, evidence-based education on safe practices, emerging trends, and available support resources. Partner with community organizations to strengthen protective factors, reduce risk factors, and support families through prevention programming, environmental strategies, and targeted outreach.

Collaboration & Access

Build and sustain cross-sector partnerships to expand access to prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services. Key initiatives include offering free naloxone (Narcan) trainings, distributing fentanyl test strips, promoting safe medication disposal (e.g., drug take-back events), and providing medication lock boxes and disposal kits to reduce misuse and diversion.

Advocacy & Policy

Advance policy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels by identifying and communicating the underlying community factors that contribute to substance use. Engage stakeholders and decision-makers to support data-driven policies that improve prevention infrastructure, expand treatment access, and address disparities across populations.
