SUNY Ulster transforms lives by inspiring a community of lifelong learners.

SUNY Ulster educates the individual and elevates the community. You can feel it the moment you step foot on campus. We’re a community of helpers and doers, cheerleaders and mentors. You’ll quickly discover that faculty, staff, and fellow students become family. Join a club. Run for office. See a play. Listen to a concert. Play for one of our athletic teams. Join us for BBQs, workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and more. College is about a lot more than learning in the classroom. Getting involved is one of the best ways to learn more, develop valuable leadership skills, make friends, build your resume, and have more fun.

SUNY Ulster believes in real-world experience. Our Environmental Studies students conduct field research for the DEC along the Hudson River and Ashokan Reservoir. Vet Tech students spend six days at Farm Camp at SUNY Delhi as their Large Animal laboratory experience. Green Building Maintenance and Management students are given hands-on training in photovoltaic cells, wind generators, geothermal heating, ventilation, and air condition (HVAC) systems. We offer classes in a handful of different formats so you can choose the ones that are most convenient for you. On-campus, online, remote, and Hy-Flex means you don’t have to worry about finding the time or place to study.
