History
The Walton Theatre held its Grand Opening in June 1914, two short years after the original building was destroyed by fire. Since then it has transformed time and time again to meet the needs of the Walton community, maintaining its relevance and grandeur for generations.
Walton Theatre Preservation Association
In 1984 the Walton Theatre's significance as a cultural and historical icon was realized and protected in perpetuity by a group of concerned supporters. This group eventually became known as the Walton Theatre Preservation Association, and their work continues to this day.
The Walton Theatre will be closed from 8/14/26 thru 8/26/26 for the Delaware County Fair. Come visit us in the commercial tent at the fair!
