The Carrot Barn
The best in farm-fresh Baked Goods is available our entire year. Enjoy our homemade specialty carrot cakes, cookies, chocolate glazed brownies, muffins and seasonal pies. Sit and relax in our Café with a bowl of homemade soup or one of our specialty sandwiches or salads made with vegetables fresh-picked from our fields. Our shelves are brimming with Country Gifts with a focus on Schoharie Valley and New York State products. Our specialty designed Floral Pieces cover our walls. Take home the finest in gourmet jams and jellies, mustards, crackers, honey and maple syrup. Browse through our full line of locally made products and seasonal gifts. We create made-to-order gift baskets and arrangements throughout the year. At Schoharie Valley Farms, we know you’ll be pleased with whatever you choose.
We have a full line of grocery items including local dairy, honey, meat, eggs, jams, jellies and sauces. We are pleased to offer products from our neighbors.
Bakery & Café
Our bakery and café is based on a farm to table model. We use our own produce and local produce when in season.
Our bakery provides a wide selection of homemade cakes, cookies, brownies, bars and muffins. We also offer seasonal pies. Within our kitchen we use our own carrots and are known for our delicious traditional carrot cakes, carrot cookies, and carrot brownies.
Our café uses exclusively Boars Head deli meats and offers our own fresh produce, local bread and cheeses on certain signature sandwiches and salads. We also make all of our soups from scratch using our fresh produce and local meats and cheeses.
Save yourself some lunch time: call us ahead with your lunch orders, and they will be ready for you to pick up!
Greenhouse
There is always something in season in our greenhouses. Our greenhouses are growing all year round. We begin the season with spring bulbs, bedding plants, vegetable plants, summer annuals, perennials, hardy mums and poinsettias.
There are picnic tables amongst the flowers so enjoy a farm fresh sandwich or salad while you enjoy the sites and smells of a working greenhouse.
We grow a wide selection of all seasonal plants for our wholesale customers. We grow for local municipalities, landscapers, churches and other farm markets while offering competitive pricing. Please contact our greenhouse manager to obtain more information on our wholesale programs.
