The Awen Center for Wellness, Creativity, Sustainability and Nature-Based Spirituality is very happy to welcome you to their home in the Catskill Mountains, hoping you find peace, revitalization, inspiration and a renewed connection with nature while spending some time there. Druidry is a central theme at The Awen (pronounced ‘ah-when’) Center. Druidry is a non-dogmatic spiritual path that has as its roots a love of nature, creativity and knowledge. Druidry is a path that is open to everyone, regardless of religion and compliments many religious practices. It is a modern path with its roots in the ancient practices of the Celtic parts of the world. Every six weeks or so folks gather here to celebrate and mark The Wheel of the Year. These community celebrations involve a potluck meal, a Druid ritual celebrating the season and various crafts and activities fitting to the season. Also on offer are Full Moon Labyrinth Walks, Forest Therapy Experiences, Arts and Creativity Classes and Weekend Retreats. The Awen Center is also home base to the Awen in the Catskills Seed Group of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. This seed group provides support and community for those following the Druid path and studying through OBOD.
