Union Grove Distillery is a farm licensed craft distillery located in the beautiful Catskill Mountains in Arkville, New York.
Owners Brian and Penny Mulder of Roxbury are thrilled to welcome you all to the distillery where they are looking forward to pouring you tastes and talking about the craft spirits they produce on site at Union Grove.

During our tasting room hours, Union Grove sells a variety of New York State beers, ciders and delicious craft cocktails utilizing our Union Grove spirits. People travel far and wide for our special cosmopolitan. We don't mean to brag but it's worth the trip!Come try one for yourself. All our products are available for purchase on site. When the tasting room is open, we offer tours of our distillery and production area. See how we make our award winning vodka, rye, maple spirit and firgin. After the tour, feel free to visit our on site tasting room to ask for a sample of the spirit you are interested in trying.

Our Products
Vly Creek Vodka
Our very first product made at Union Grove is Vly Creek Vodka distilled from NY apples and wheat and bottled at 40% abv. This vodka was awarded a gold medal and “Best of Category” medal at the 2017 American Distilling Institute’s Annual Craft Distillers Conference in Baltimore Maryland. 92 points from Wine Enthusiast Magazine and one of the top 100 spirits for 2019. This is our most widely distributed product to date and you can click here find a location near you to purchase it or in your favorite restaurant.
Catskill Mountain Maple Spirit
Catskill Mountain Maple Spirit is distilled from locally produced Tree Juice Maple Syrup. Aged in used oak barrels that once held bourbon and then maple syrup. We age the spirit for a minimum of 6 months in this twice used charred oak barrel and bottle at 40%/80 proof. Made like a rum but sips like a bourbon. The result is an amazing spirit that is great on the rocks or as an Old Fashioned or one of our other great Maple Spirit drink specials. This product can be found out in the world in limited locations as well as at the distillery.
Drie Brook Rye Whiskey
Union Grove's Drie Brook Rye Whiskey is distilled from a mash bill of 75% Rye, some of which was grown locally at Lazy Crazy Acres, and 25% malted barley. Aged for three years and bottled at a balmy 46%/92 proof.
FirGin
FirGin is a Catskill Mountainesque gin with the flavors of the Catskills in every bottle. Fir is from local Balsam fir and Norway Spruce trees. Fresh branches are harvested and macerated in high proof spirits to pull the flavor and aroma from the trees to the bottle. Other local flavors include some Catskill Mountain wild ginseng, lavender, fresh harvested locally grown horseradish, along with a few other secret ingredients. Of course it wouldn’t be gin without the addition of juniper. This is mentioned last because we went very light on that required ingredient. Stop in and taste the FirGIN and see what all the excitement is about and grab a bottle to take home.
Flavored Vodkas: Coffee, Cinnamon, Black Tea
Our flavored vodkas are distilled from New York corn and flavored with all natural ingredients. You won't find a more naturally flavored vodka anywhere else. It takes time to extract the flavors from pure whole cinnamon sticks, and locally roasted coffee that has been roasted to our specifications and delivered fresh from the roaster. The black tea vodka is simply orange pekoe and black cut pekoe tea infused into the vodka. No sugar is added to any of our flavored vodkas as we believe that you, the consumer, should be able to choose your desired level of sweentess or none at all. What's your favorite flavor? Maple Ginseng Moonshine
Coming soon to Union Grove is Maple Ginseng Moonshine! Originally brought to life when Brian Mulder of Union Grove appeared on and won the competitive Discovery Channel show Moonshiners: Master Distiller, Union Grove is eager to share their locally inspired moonshine with interested drinkers everywhere. Calico Outlaw Brewing
Beer with history! Local beer made with local ingredients by a local guy in Arkville.
The brewery is located under the same roof as Union Grove Distillery which conveniently means the beer is on tap at the Union Grove bar. Calico Outlaw is a project by John Fairbairn, an Arkville local with a passion for brewing.
