Sun Shines on 55th Annual Antique Car Show
NORTH BLENHEIM - It was a perfect day for an antique car show at the New York Power Authority's Visitor's Center in North Blenheim Sunday. There was not a chance of rain, it was warm but not hot, and the cars and trucks filled the beautiful lush fields of the complex. The show, the 55th for the Schoharie Valley Region Antique Automobile Club of America, was one of the most attended with more than 125 vehicles and hundreds of visitors.

Schoharie Holds Community Festival
The Schoharie Central School picked a beautiful day for their Community Festival, an annual summer kick-off event held outside on their sports fields and around the school grounds. The free community-wide celebration featured student club expositions, interactive games, live music performances, a pickleball tournament, fire truck and heavy equipment displays, a college fair, and family-friendly activities like a basketball free throw contest, Zumba and yoga classes, story hour, a bicycle safety course, and wildlife exhibits. There were free hot dogs, free ice cream and free strawberry shortcake, and a variety of local food trucks. Dozens of local organizations, civic groups, and regional resources set up booths to connect with students and families.

Schoharie’s college bound athletes signed agreements with their various institutions Wednesday evening—Jayden Maitland who is going to SUNY Cobleskill for Track and Field; Jameson Bixby, going to SUNY Cobleskill for Track and Field; Reid Starks-Swotkewicz, going to Franklin Pierce University for Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track; Maxwell Kenny will be going to SUNY Cortland for Track and Field; Grace Reinhart, going to Keuka College and playing Softball; Madison Reinhart, going to Keuka College for Softball; and Briana Repscher who is going to SUNY Morrisville to play Women’s Soccer.

Memorial Day 2026 in Schoharie, NY
SCHOHARIE - Those who gave their all were remembered in a classic Memorial Day parade Thursday in Schoharie. There was a brief ceremony before the parade began at 6pm on Main Street. After Marty Pierce of the Schoharie Fire Department welcomed everyone, state Assemblyman Chris Tague was the guest speaker.
