SCHOHARIE - Long-time Schoharie school Superintendent David Blanchard will be at SCS a little longer.
Schoharie school board members at their July 18 meeting unanimously approved a resolution extending Mr. Blanchard's contract through June 30, 2030. The extension is from July 1, 2025 though the end of the 2029-30 school year.
Mr. Blanchard is starting his 12th year at Schoharie. He was hired on July 1, 2015.
The superintendent's contract calls for three percent annual pay increases for each year of the contract.
School board members also extended the contract of David Baroody, Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations.
Mr. Baroody is starting his fifth year and was hired on October 22, 2021. His contract is extended to June 30, 2029.
Mr. Baroody's contract calls for annual pay raises of four percent each year of the contract.
