JEFFERSON - The Jefferson Historical Society will present guitarist and vocalist Don Williams of Summit, New York, and New Orleans, Louisiana, who performs under the stage name Ya Ya Sol, in a free concert on Saturday, July 25, at 7:00 p.m. at the Maple Museum in Jefferson.
Williams spent many years performing in New Orleans, throughout the Gulf South, and on international tours. During his years as a sideman in New Orleans, he was influenced by a wide range of musical styles and genres. The result is an eclectic repertoire featuring music from North, Central, and South America, along with original compositions inspired by those traditions.
His performances blend this rich musical heritage into a distinctive style, delivered through expressive fingerstyle guitar playing and vocals.
The concert is free and open to the public. The Maple Museum is located at 221 Creamery Street, Jefferson.
