Kevin is president of the Jefferson Historical Society and a retired Wildlife Management professor from SUNY Cobleskill. His career and passions revolved around wildlife and photography. Being on the JHS board is fullfilling to Kevin so that JHS can help people become more aware of the fascinating history or the town through our books, Facebook, lectures, and other means.

The Jefferson Historical Society will do a presentation with reenactors representing 10 Revolutionary War veterans or their wives who were laid to rest in the Old Jefferson Burying Ground. Each will tell their stories. After the event attendees have the option of visiting the cemetery itself and seeing the soldier's graves.

The Jefferson Historical Society will have a wide variety of events during Jefferson Heritage Day. You can visit our museum, our quilt show, the Fuller District Schoolhouse, and dance to the music of Sue's Garage under the tent on the green at night.
Jefferson elementary students visited the Fuller District Schoolhouse where they learned about a typical day in a old-time school. They covered reading, writing, arithmetic, and history while also making butter.
We will have a display of paintings by Werner Rentsch of rural scenes around Jefferson created several decades ago.
