Jesse "James" Angelino is an upstate New York author, local history researcher, and newspaper reporter who currently resides in Cairo, New York. He writes extensively about local culture and historical trivia. He actively reports on civic events, historical updates, and human-interest pieces impacting Cairo and the broader Greene County community.

Raised in Palenville, New York, Angelino has spent much of his life studying the distinct histories of New York City, Albany, and the Catskills.

He is well known for his historical talks, such as his presentation at the Zadock Pratt Museum connecting Washington Irving's fictional character Ichabod Crane from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow to the real-life Merwin family of Jewett and Prattsville, New York.
